Hadi Tabatabai was born in Mashhad, Iran, in 1964. He immigrated to the United States
in 1977 with his family and has since settled in California. Tabatabai received a B.S.
in industrial technology at Fresno State University (1980-1985) and a B.F.A. in painting
from the San Francisco Art Institute (1993-1995).
Tabatabai's work has shown widely in London, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and
Philadelphia. He has had solo exhibitions at the Anthony Grant Gallery, New York; the
Stephen Wirtz Gallery, San Francisco and the James Nicholson Gallery, San Francisco, to
name a few. His work can also be found in collections such as The Achenbach Foundation at
the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, The Progressive Corporation, U.S.A. and Wynn Kramarsky,
New York, among others.
His work is currently represented by
